Who are we?

The Ascutney Trails Association was incorporated as a non-profit organization in January of 1967. Its intended purpose is for the maintainance of present and future trails on Mt. Ascutney, building and maintaining shelters, hunting out special points of interest to which trails may be opened, gathering items of history and anecdotes on the mountain, and publishing a guide book.

The extent of ATA activity must depend, in part, on funds raised from memberships, contributions, and guide book sales. Membership is offered for individuals and families on an annual or life membership basis. If you are interested in joining us, please fill out a membership form and mail it to the organization's secretary at P.O. Box 147, Windsor, Vermont 05089. If you have any questions about our organization, or if you would like to volunteer, please feel free to send us an email message.

For a more detailed guide to the trails on Mount Ascutney, you may wish to pick up our recently published, 7th Edition, Ascutney Trails Guidebook . In it you will find a brief history of Ascutney's hiking trails, a fold-out map, and a guide to the present day Windsor, Weathersfield, Brownsville, and Futures trails - all enclosed in a heavy duty zip-lock pocket protector. Guide books are presently available at any of the following locations, or by mail from the above address. The cost is $7.00.
